I think my presentation was good because I was ready and well organized. I kinda got nervous when the judge came and missed some of my prepared lines. Make the essay portion a little shorter, and little more organized with the judges.

My 3rd technology is a PSA video. I just recorded it yesterday and I am still in the process of finishing it up.

I am not sure what my end product is going to be, but it is going to be something that represents or shows a new faucet that saves water.

March 8th Friday

These slides go with my project because it clearly sends the message of water conservation through small pictures and writing. Many people don't see the importance of this topic, we are coming to a place where clean water is becoming scarce and nothing is being done about it. My poster will portray an image that will encourage my audience to take this issue more seriously. The colors on my slides go with it because most of it is blue and that might bring out the importance of this problem to pop out more.

Capstone PSA Friday March 1

Water is one of the most essential utility needed for man. There is no alternative for that and without it we will not survive. My idea is to develop a recovery system that will capture wasted water for later use. For example, large amounts of water are wasted when we turn on the hot water but do not use it because it is cold. Additional investigation will be done to see how this water can be reused. This will be done by creating a water saving system that saves us water simply at our own homes.

Monday in class we went over all the posters we had done the week before and then talked about what we needed for our blog on the capstone project.

Friday in class we were asked to start working on our capstone project using the images found on Wednesday and try to finish a rough draft for it.

Wednesday in class we were supposed to look for images that we are going to used to make our capstone project. And then create a blog for it.

2/4/13 Practice Poster

This is a practice poster for IMED. This is to show awareness for the cosmetics problems. My poster shows how makeup can be deadly by showing some pictures and then listing some of the chemicals present in makeup.

Friday Feb 1st

Today in class we were finishing up the rest of our project. I added some effects to my pictures I found and then fixed my title and added some details on why cosmetics are a problem.

Wednesday 30th

In class Wednesday we were asked to come up with an idea for our poster for Capstone. I choose to do it on Cosmetics problems. And I went on photoshop and found a texture for my background and perfected it.

1/28 Fake capstone

In IMED class today we a fake capstone theme used for capstone poster. It was about endocrine disruptor.

1/25/13 What we did in class

In class today we had to get in groups of four and answer questions about a P90X website and what they had done to make the website most appealing.

Capstone Topic

My topic for Capstone project had to do with water conservation. I had planned on making something that would heat up the water before it comes out of the faucet when we are trying to get the hot water. I think I had got approved but with some changes as my reply back from the capstone committee.

What's wrong with Capstone 1/23/13

Capstone is a class required by every RCHS student to take as a senior. It is a class that requires us to do a lot of research and writing to create a project that hasn't already been done. It is just a class that adds extra stress to what we already deal with as a senior in RCHS. On top of the project we are also required to do some other side homework with the final project we are asked to do. This class is overall just overwhelming because you are taking 7-8 other college credit classes and adding this on top of that is just not necessary. I can also remember times when I had to decide between doing my homework or studying for another class or doing capstone hw. Another problem with Capstone is that we are asked to do research and find articles related to our project for a whole semester and then only to figure out that our project didn't get approved at the end of the semester. I feel like it is pointless to add this extra burden and it would save us much more time in general and time to focus on other classes that matter if this was taken of the curriculum.
